Matilija poppies dance in the wind, and their golden centers have lead to their nickname of "Fried Egg Poppy". Sunny Side Up. Because they are found in warmer and dryer climates, they are also knows as "Cowboy Poppies." A mass of these graced the West fence at my family home in Fresno, California.
